Programs
We offer a mixed age program for children ages 2.9 to 5 years old, with an approximate adult/child ratio of 1 to 4 with 3 teachers and our daily co-opers. Our maximum group size will be 16 children each day.
Mixed age groups of children offer valuable experiences for both younger and older children. Each child's learning is guided by individual readiness, ability, and interest. Social competence develops for older children from their roles as mentors and nurturers, and for younger children from the opportunity to observe and model the behavior of older classmates. The learning environment at Family Cooperative Preschool is specially designed to meet the diverse needs of a multi-age group.
Many children attend the Family Cooperative Preschool for two, and in some cases, three years. Our teachers are especially adept at adjusting to the developmental needs and learning style of each child from one year to the next. Appropriate learning activities are offered to support each child's growth throughout his or her time at school. A number of families especially like that two or more of their children can be in the same class at the same time.
Families can choose from our 2 day and 3 day options.
Each session is 3 hours 45 minutes, with staggered start times and staggered departure times:
9:00 and 9:15 / 12:45 and 1:00
2 Day Programs:
Mondays & Tuesdays
Thursdays & Fridays
3 Day Programs:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays
Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays
Children bring and eat snack and lunch at school.
We also offer an Extended Day Option (1:00 - 2:30).
You can choose 1 or 2 of the days your child attends school:

FAMILY CO-OP
SUMMER PROGRAM 2023
Family Co-op has a summer enrichment program available to our students. This is an outdoor program, weather permitting. We have fun with sand, water, and "whatever else happens". Children bring their snack, lunch, water bottle, bathing suit and towel. This program is offered to current Family Co-op students.
