Director/Teacher Sylvia Stephenson joined Family Cooperative Preschool in 1981. She received her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of New Hampshire. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Sylvia team teaches in both the morning and afternoon sessions. Sylvia is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Northern Essex Childhood Education Advisory Committee. Sylvia has a special place in the heart of Family Cooperative Preschool as a former student of the first Family Cooperative Kindergarten Class (Family Cooperative was a Kindergarten until it was established as a Preschool in 1969). Sylvia’s parents, along with three other couples, started Family Cooperative Kindergarten in 1952.

Lead Teacher Deedee (Kathleen) Roberts joined Family Cooperative Preschool in 1985. Deedee received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Studies from Utica College of Syracuse University. She later received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Essex Community College.

Nancy Laorenza, a former parent at the school, became a teacher here in 2007. Nancy received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She was a dance and creative movement teacher for many years and developed programs for local preschools and kindergartens. She then acquired her Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education and has been teaching preschool in the Andover area for the last 6 years.

Jen Rogers, also a former parent at the school, became a teacher here in 2009. Jen received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Boston College. She also received her Masters of Education in Moderate Special Needs from Boston College. Jen worked as a Special Needs Teacher and First/Second Grade Teacher in the Tyngsboro Public School System before having children.
