We offer a mixed age program for children ages 2.9 to 5 years old, with an approximate adult/child ratio of 1 to 4. Families can choose the AM (8:45 - 11:30) or PM (12:30 - 3:15) session, and whether to attend 2, 3, or 4 times per week. The school operates Monday through Thursday.
Mixed age groups of children offer valuable experiences for both younger and older children. What each child learns is guided by individual readiness, ability, and interest, and not by age. Social competence develops for older children from their roles as mentors and nurturers, and for younger children from the opportunity to observe and model the behavior of older classmates. The learning environment at Family Cooperative Preschool is specially designed to meet the diverse needs of a multi-age group.

Our teachers come to know the developmental needs and learning style of each child very well, as many children attend Family Co-op for two, and in some cases, three years. They ensure that appropriate learning activities are offered to support each child's growth throughout his or her time at school.
Morning Session 8:45 am – 11:30 am
Afternoon Session 12:30 pm – 3:15 pm
The sessions begin with the second week of September and run through the first week in June. Family Cooperative Preschool follows the North Andover Public School calendar with the exception of the December vacation.
