Family Cooperative Preschool is a high-quality early childhood program licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Since 1952, we have provided a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children.
What sets us apart:
- Our three-room schoolhouse is located in a beautiful rural setting with ample space for indoor and outdoor activity, and unique opportunities for nature exploration and learning. Weather permitting, children spend at least an hour outdoors every day.
- We are a cooperative preschool -- parents gain a better understanding of the preschool child through participating ("co-oping") in the classroom about once a month. Click here for more about what co-oping is like at our school.
- We offer morning and afternoon multi-age sessions, Monday through Thursday, for ages 3, 4 and 5. Children need to be 2 years 9 months by September 1st. Click here to read about the benefits of multi-age classrooms.
- The school a nut-free environment, and we are particularly sensitive to food and environmental allergies as well as other health concerns.
